I hope you have all had a good Easter.

There have been a few changes to the term dates and classes for this term:

Term starts back on Monday April 23rd, EXCEPT for the Saturday classes at The United Reformed Church which starts back on Saturday April 21st.

Term Dates:

Monday April 23rd to Saturday June 2nd

Monday June 11th to Monday July 9th.

Half Term – Sunday June 3rd to Sunday June 10th.

Exceptions

NO classes on Monday May 7th.

URC Saturdays

Starts back April 21st

NO classes on May 12th

URC Fridays

April 27th and May 4th – Combined Inter/Advanced Class 6pm to 8pm

May 11th – NO Classes

May 18th and 25th – Inter 5pm-6.45pm, Advanced 6.45pm-8pm

June 1st onwards – Normal times

Show 2012

Well I hope you all enjoyed the show yesterday. I’d like to thanks all the people who helped make it such a success. To all the choreographers, to parents who helped with costumes, chaperones, those who sold drinks and cakes, helped with the tickets, who donated raffle prizes and those who helped in any other way. There are too many to name individually so just a big thank you to youl all.

Finally and most importantly thank you to all the pupils for their hard work this term, I think the effort they put in showed yesterday in the two excellent performances.

The after show collection raised £280 for the National Deaf Children’s Society, many thanks for your generous donations.

I have a few unclaimed raffle prizes which I shall dish out next term.

Term starts back on Monday 23rd April, have a great Easter break.

New Street Jazz Classes

New Street Jazz Class

Firday 4.15pm – 5pm

7 – 11 Year Olds

I am starting a new street jazz class in January on Friday evenings for 7-11 year olds. Please email me if you are interested in joining the class.

Street jazz is a fun and energetic class combining the smooth techniques of jazz dance with the cool moves you see in pop videos. The class starts with a warm up and stretch, followed by short sequences to strengthen technique and develop core steps such as turns, leaps and isolations. All the hard work will be put to good use as pupils work on fun and funky routines to the latest chart tunes.
