Summer Break

Just to say a big thank you to all who have been part of Oxford Academy of Dance over the last year and I hope you all have and enjoyable and relaxing summer holidays.

The autumn term will start on Saturday September 10th and we will hopefully have RAD Ballet and ISTD Modern, Tap and Jazz examinations towards the end of the term.

ISTD Results

Congratulations to all those who took their ISTD examinations in May, everyone passed with flying colours. There were 5 distinctions and 15 merits. Well done and thanks for all the hard work you put it.

Summer Course

Summer Course August 23rd to August 26th 2011

This Summer we will be running a course entitled “Dancing Through The Decades” at St. Aloysius School. The course will focus on dancing skill and building confidence in the performance arts. Inspired by dance styles from several decades the participants will learn routines and perform pieces from famous musicals and modern music. They will take part in warm-ups, drama activities, choreography practice and staging and performance.

We will be working on a dance based musical performance that family and friends will be welcome to watch at the end of the four days.

Summer Term Dates

The dates for the summer term are:

Tuesday 26th April to Saturday 28th May and
Saturday 4th June to Monday 11th July

There are no classes on April 25th, April 29th, May 2nd, May 4th and July 9th.
There are classes on July 11th which were not listed on the original invoice.

Spring Term

Happy New Year

Term dates for the Spring term are:

Monday 10th January to Saturday 19th February and
Monday 28th February to Monday 4th April

Invoices will be sent out today. There are a few changes to the timetable.

The Friday everning Intermediate and Advanced classes will now be at The United Reformed Church Hall in Summertown.

The Adult Improvers Tap class moves from a Saturday morning to Friday evening and a new Intermediate Tap class starts also on a Friday evening.

Finally I am starting two Freestyle Dance classes on a Friday evening, one for 5-7 year olds and one for 8-11 year olds
